لخلخا laḵẖlaḵẖā P (for لخلخه) s. m. A sort of odour or perfume: a censer or instrument to burn perfumes in.

لاوبالي lā-ubālī A adj. Careless. s. f. Carelessness, freedom from care. See under لا lā.

لقات laḳāt A. adj. Lean. (Pers. لکات Infirm).

لک لوٿ lak-loṭ S̱. adj. (dakh.) See لکهـ لٿ lakh- luṭ.

لادو lādū H (from لادنا) adj. Fit to carry a load. لادو کرنا lādū karnā, To mount a horse or colt for the first time.

لقا liḳā A s. f. 1. Act of meeting, seeing or fighting with any one. 2. (met.) Death. 3. The face, form, visage, countenance. ¶ luḳā, A roguish fellow, vain. ¶ لقا laḳḳā, s. m. A kind of pigeon.

لقب laḳab A s. m. A title, surname (either honourable or opprobrious), by-name.

ليروا lerūʼā H s. m. A calf. S̱. H. لي رهنا le-rahnā, v. n. To cheat, to pilfer.

لتا lattā P. (prop. لته) s. m. A rag, tatter, scrap of cloth.

لپکا lapkā H s. m. 1. A snatch. 2. Nimbleness. 3. A bad custom or habit. Mīr says: اپني توجـﮩان آنکهـ لڙي پهر وهين ديکهو آينه کو لپکا هي پريشان نظري کا Upnī to jahāṅ ānkh laṛī phir wahīṅ dekho; āʼīne ko lapkā hai pareshān-naz̤arī kā. Where I first fell in love, there you will see me; (I am not like) the mirror (which) is in the habit of casting its glances in all directions.
