کهيڙي kheṛī H s. f. A kind of iron or steel, a sort of steel made in India.

کالا kālā S̱. (Sans. काल) 1. adj. Black, dark. کالا چور kālā chor, An unknown person. 2. s. m. Name of a snake. 3. Time. 4. Name of Kr̤ish̤ṇa. کالا بال kālā bāl, s. m. The lower part of the belly, the pubes. کالا بال اپنا جاننا يا سمجهنا kālā bāl apnā jānnā or samajhnā, To despise (any one) exceedingly. کالا دانه kālā dāna, Name of a purgative seed. (Convolvu- lus nil?). کالا جيره kālā jīra, or کالا زيره kālā zīra, s. m. Seeds of the Nigella indica: Roxb. کالا منـہہ کرنا kālā muṅh karnā, 1. To break off all connexion with another. 2. To disgrace. 3. To copulate. 4. To expel. کالا نمک kālā namak, s. m. A kind of rock-salt impregnated with sulphur and bitumen, which leaves an hepa- tick flavour in the mouth. (It is much used medicinally). کالي برن kāle baran, Of the co- lour of a snake. کالي کوس kāle kos, A great distance.

کنٿهابهرن कंठाभरण kanṭh-ābharaṇ S The orna- ments of the neck. S. کنٿهاگر कंठाग्र (i. e. कंठ Larynx, and अग्र Front) kanṭhāgr, adj. By rote, by memory.

گن गण gaṇ S s. m. 1. A troop, tribe, flock, class, multitude. 2. Troops of inferiour deities considered as Sivaʼs attendants, and under the especial superintendance of Gaṇesa; Sivaʼs at- tendants.

گلچلا gul-chalā S̱. (from गोल Ball, and چلانا To impel) s. m. A musketeer, a gunner.
