کناره kināra P (or prop. kanāra) s. m. Side, margin, shore, strand, bank (of a river, &c.), beach, border, coast, part, limit, boundary, edge. کنارا پکڙنا kinārā pakaṛ- nā, To retire. کنارا کرنا kinārā karnā, v. a. To abstain, to refrain, to keep aloof, retire or with- draw (from), to lay aside. کناره کش kināra- kash, Withdrawing. کناري kināre or کناري پر kināre par, Aside, ashore. کناري چڙهنا kināre chaṛhnā, v. n. To run ashore, to strand. کناري هوجانا kināre ho-jānā, To retire, to withdraw.

گيپا gīpā P s. m. A sheep or goatʼs ventricle stuffed with minced meat and rice, a pudding.

کهوجها khūjhā H s. m. Sediment, dregs, mouldiness of vinegar, &c.

گريوه garewa P or girewa, s. m. A low hill or high mound, an acclivity, a ravine, steep or difficult pass.

گن गुण guṇ S s. m. 1. Quality, attribute, merit, skill, understanding, virtue, mode, method, man- ner. 2. A property of humanity (see under رجوگن rajo-guṇ). 3. A string, rope, small track-rope. 4. Favour, kindness. گن چهانڐنا guṇ chhānḍnā, To pass over a personʼs good qualities. گن کا پلٿا دينا guṇ kā palṭā denā, To repay a benefit. گن کرنا guṇ karnā, To benefit. گنگاهک guṇ-gāhak (or dakh. گن گايکا guṇ- gāʼekā) s. m. Discerner of merit, patron of learning. گن ماننا guṇ mānnā, To acknowledge a favour. گن ندهان guṇ-nidhān, Abode of skill or merit; skilful.

گڙهہ gaṛh S̱. (see گڐهہ) s. m. A castle, a fort.

گروا garwā गौरव S̱. adj. 1. Heavy. 2. Im- portant. 3. Respectable. 4. Demure.

کپوري kapūr-ī S̱. (from कर्पूर) A kind of betel- leaf so called.

گڙها gaṛhā गर्त्त S̱. s. m. A cavity, a hole, a pit, an abyss: (in dakh.) a valley (?).

کهنڐر khanḍar S̱. (खंड Fragment) s. m. A ruinous or broken down building, ruins of a town or house, &c.
