گيا गया gayā S Name of a city in Bihār, being a celebrated tīrth or place of pilgrimage. S̱. گيا 1. gaiyā (गौः) s. f. A cow. 2. gayā, past part. or tense (of جانا) Gone, went. گيا گذريا gayā-guẕryā, adj. (dakh.) Worthless, use- less; see ناکاره nā-kār-a.

گريبان girebān P s. m. 1. A collar (of a gar- ment), cape. 2. Pocket, (fig.) the neck. گريبان گير girebān-gīr, adj. Seizing by the col- lar; an accuser, a prosecutor, plaintiff, com- plainant. گريبان مين منہہ ڐالنا girebān meṅ muṅh ḍālnā, To confess and be ashamed of oneʼs faults.
