کسبت kisbat A. (perhaps, for کسوت kiswat, Dress, garb: or کسبت Gain, way of gaining) s. f. 1. The case (or bag) barbers, surgeons, &c. keep their tools in. 2. A piece of leather worn by a bihishtī or waterman on his left hip, on which he rests the bag containing water. کسبت نامه kisbat-nāma, s. m. A book containing the histories of barbers, surgeons, &c. and directions for their practice. The bihishtīs also have such a book.

گہنون guhnaun गुंफन S̱. v. a. (in Braj) 1. To thread, to string. 2. To plait, to braid.

گمت gamat गमथ S̱. s. m. A road.

کافه kāffa A (from کفّ Heb. To bend, to fold) s. m. 1. The whole. 2. A tribe, a mul- titude.

گاواگهي gāwā-ghī गोघृत S̱. s. m. Cowʼs clari- fied butter.

کٿت kaṭit H s. m. Vent, sale.

کانپ kāmp H s. m. (dakh. i. q. نحوست) Bad luck, misfortune. کانپ مارنا kāmp mārnā, A misfortune to be or happen.

کلس कलश kalas S s. m. 1. The spire or orna- ment on the top of a dome, a pinnacle. 2. A water-pot. کلس ستهاپن کرنا kalas sthāpan karnā, To make an offering of a jar of water to any deity: five twigs of the following sacred trees are previously placed in it, namely, the Aswat- tha (Ficus religiosa), Vaṭa (Ficus indica), Udumbar (Ficus glomerata), Samī (Mimosa albida), and Āmra or mango.

کليناٴي kulīn-āʼī कुलीनता S̱. s. f. Nobility, respectability of descent, gentility.

گهيا ghiyā H s. m. Name of a vegetable, a pum- pion. (Cucurbita lagenaria). گهيا توري ghiyā toraʼī, Luffa pentandra: Roxb.
