کونڐنا koṅḍnā H v. a. (dakh.) To imprison, bind.

کيف kaif A adv. How? in what manner? (met.) s. f. 1. Intoxication, drunkenness. 2. An intoxicating drug.

گورگ دهندا gorag-dhaṅdā H s. m. (dakh.) 1. Living, life: see زندگاني zinda-gānī. 2. Dis- traction, alarm, disquietude: see تشويش tash- wīsh.

کهونچي khonchī H s. f. 1. Any thing stuffed into another, as grass into thatch. 2. Trifling pur- chases. 3. Part of grain which is to be parched taken as pay by the person who parches it. 4. Something paid by those who draw water at a well to the bihishtī, who attends there with his bucket, for the use of it.

کهندانا khandānā H s. m. 1. A pit, from which earth has been dug to make bricks or pottery. 2. A notch in a log of wood.

گهڙسنا ghuṛasnā H v. a. To curl.

کريال kuryāl H s. f. 1. The state of a bird sitting at ease and in security, trimming its wings with its beak; (hence) 2. Ease, security, hope, confidence of success. کريال مين غليلا لگنا kuryāl meṅ g̠ẖulelā lagnā, To be disappointed or fall into misfortune, in the moment of security, or when sure of success. Sajjād says:-- بيٿهہ اگرخوشي سي آکر چمن مين بلبل کريال مين غليلا ايسا لگي که اڙجاي Baiṭhe agar ḵẖụshī se ākar chaman meṅ bulbul; kuryāl meṅ g̠ẖulelā aisā lage ki uṛ jāʼe. گشتي gasht-ī P s. m. Watch, sentinel, patrole.

گردي gard-ī P (in compos.) s. f. 1. Change, re- volution, wandering, travelling. 2. Separation, misfortune, affliction. پادشاه گردي pādshāh- gardī, The dethroning of a king. اشراف گردي ashrāf-gardī, A calamity on all the nobility. پٿهان گردي paṭhān-gardī, The invasion of the Paṭhāns under Aḥmad Shāh Durrānī.
