کوشش koshish P (from کوشيدن) s. f. Endeavour, effort, exertion, attempt, application, study. کوشش بيہوده koshish-i-behūda, A vain attempt. کوشش کرنا koshish karnā, To endeavour, at- tempt, make effort or exertion, to strive.

کدور kudūr A s. See کدورت kudūrat.

کرتي kartī H s. f. The skin of a calf stuffed and placed near the mother to make her give milk.

گہل gahal H s. f. See گهود ghaud.

کلابه kalāba P s. m. 1. A clew, a hank, skein, a reel, a wheel (for winding thread on).

کيہر kehar S̱. (केसरी) s. m. A lion.

کٿني kaṭnī S̱. (from کٿنا) s. f. The season for cutting the grain, harvest. ¶ kuṭnī (Sans. कुट्टनी r. कुट्ट Cut; contemn) s. f. A bawd, a procuress.

کهريرنا khurernā H v. a. To run after, to per- secute, to catch, to enclose.

گويان goyāṅ P part. act. (from گفتن) Saying; speaker; adv. As you would say, as if, one would say, thus.

کد kadd A s. f. Examination, search, inquiry, trouble, labour, endeavour. کد و کاوش kadd-o-kāwish, s. f. Search, inquiry, examination, ap- plication, assiduity.
