کهپنا khapnā H 1. v. n. To be dried up or ab- sorbed. 2. To sell, to go off, to be expended or made away with. 3. To remain, to join, to mix with, to enter, to penetrate. 4. s. m. A company (of travellers, &c.)

گستانگر gastāngar H adj. A clown, ignorant, foolish.

گهٿاٿوپ ghaṭāṭop H s. m. A covering of a pālkī or carriage.

کوٿگا koṭgā S̱. (see کوٿنا) adj. (dakh.) See لت خور lat-ḵẖor under لت lat.

کہانا kahānā S̱. (causal of کہنا) v. a. To cause to speak, to cause to tell, to be called.

کس kas S̱. (from कषाय) s. m. The decoction of a colouring substance.

کچهہ kuchh H Any, any thing, aught, some, some- thing, somewhat, a little, whatever. کچهہ اور گانا kuchh aur gānā, To give a false explanation, to tell a different story. کچهہ ايک kuchh ek, Some little, some few. کچهہ تمني پڙا پايا kuchh tum ne paṛā pāyā, Have you found a treasure? (an ex- pression addressed to one who seems inordi- nately pleased without apparent cause. کچهہ تمني خواب ديکها kuchh tum ne ḵẖẉāb dekhā? What! have you dreamt this or seen a vision? (an expression used to a person who relates im- probabilities: or, to depict the astonishment of the speaker at any unexpected act of another). کچهہ سي کچهہ هونا kuchh se kuchh honā, or کچهہ کا کچهہ هونا kuchh kā kuchh honā, To be entirely changed. کچهہ کا کچهہ kuchh kā kuchh, 1. Some- thing else, (in) another manner, on the contrary. 2. Advancement, increase: see ترقي taraḳḳī. کچهہ نه کچهہ kuchh na kuchh, Some at least,

گٿها gaṭṭhā S̱. (Sans. ग्रंथि) s. m. A bundle, package, pack; root of onion, turmerick, &c. a clove of garlick.

کملا kamalā S̱. s. m. Name of the caterpillar or larva of a brown moth, covered with fine bristles, which, on handling it, adhere to the skin and excite itching: it is destructive to trees. The palmerworm. कमला s. f. A name of the goddess Lachh̤mī.

کهنڐر khanḍar S̱. (खंड Fragment) s. m. A ruinous or broken down building, ruins of a town or house, &c.
