کلپ कल्प kalpa S s. m. 1. A Shāstra or sa- cred work. 2. A day or a night of Brahmā, a period of 4,320,000,000 years of mortals, mea- suring the duration of the world, and as many the interval of its annihilation. 3. A destruction of the world. 4. Optionality, doubt. 5. Re- solve, purpose. 6. Propriety, fitness. کلپ برچهہ कल्पवृक्ष kalpa-brichh or -vr̤iksh̤a, or کلپتر कल्पतरु kalpa-taru, A tree in Indraʼs heaven that yields whatever may be desired.

گولک golak P. (prop. غولک) s. f. The kotwālʼs treasure pot, a till, a drawer.

کهوجنا khojnā H v. a. To search for, to inquire after, to seek, explore.

گزين guzīn P part. act. (of گزيدن) in compos. Choosing, preferring, electing. خلوت گزين ḵẖalwat-guzīn, Fond of retirement.

گهور घोर ghor S 1. s. m. Trepidation, dread, awe. 2. adj. Frightful, horrible, terrifick, aw- ful. گهور گهونٿنا ghor ghūnṭnā, To be inwardly displeased, to conceal oneʼs dislike or indigna- tion. 3. The sound of a drum. 4. adj. Deep (colour of a horse, or sleep).

ککٿ कुक्कुट kukkuṭ S s. m. A cock.

کچوري kachaurī H s. f. A dish made of wheaten bread and pulse.

گنٿهجوڙا ganṭh-joṛā ग्रंथिजोड S̱. Knot-joining. گنٿهجوڙا باندهنا ganṭh-joṛā bāndhnā, To tie together the skirts of the mantles of the bride and bridegroom: a ceremony attending mar- riage performed by the purohit or officiating priest.

کلکل کانٿا kilkil-kānṭā H s. m. A game among boys. One boy, having drawn several lines upon a stone, hides it, and the others, repeating the words kil-kil-kānṭā, run about searching for it. Whoever finds the stone has a right to strike the boy who hid it three times with his fingers on the back of the hand.

گهمانا ghumānā S̱. (caus. of گهومنا ghūmnā, q. v.) v. a. 1. To turn round, whirl round, wheel, roll, brandish, circulate, encircle. 2. To beguile, to delude. گهمانا پهرانا ghumānā phirānā, To pre- varicate.
