کسر kasr : کسر kasr A s. f. 1. Breaking, breach, loss, afflic- tion, a fraction (in arithmetick). 2. Rout, put- ting to flight. 3. The vowel (ِ) sounded like the Ital. short i, or the English i in bill, fin. (Plur. کسرات). کسر و زياد kasr-o-ziyād, or کسري زياد kasr-e ziyād, More or less. (But, these seem to be corruptions of کثر).
