کشاکش kash-ā-kash P s. f. Repeated pulling; command after command, bringing and taking away, commanding and countermanding; great unpleasantness, grief or pain; pleasant and un- pleasant, distraction, dilemma, perplexity, diffi- culty, contention, struggle, attraction, allure- ment.

گجر gajar H s. m. The chimes rung at the ex- piration of a watch or pahar of the day or night; but sometimes restricted to those at the close of the fourth; the word pahar being more commonly used for the middle chimes. (Gilch.).

کدن कदन kadan S s. m. 1. Killer, destroyer. 2. Killing, destroying.

ککيانا kikiyānā H v. n. To shriek, to scream.

گچگينا gach-gīnā H adj. Short and fat (person).

کهن khan S̱. 1. (खंड) s. m. Division of a house, story, flight of rooms: see کهنڐ. 2. (खनि) A mine. 3. (for क्षण) A certain day of the fortnight, as the full, change, &c. of the moon, or a name given to certain days in the lunar fortnight. ¶ khin (for खिन्न) adj. Distressed, suffering pain or sickness.

کشيده kashīda P (from کشيدن) 1. part. pass. Drawn, extended, contracted, pulled in, borne, endured, having drawn or endured. 2. s. m. A kind of needlework. 3. adj. Sullen, superci- lious. کشيده خاطر kashīda-ḵẖāt̤ir, adj. Dis- pleased. کشيده قد kashīda-ḳadd, or کشيده قامت kashīda-ḳāmat, adj. Tall.
