گودنا godnā H or gūdnā, v. a. To prick, to punc- ture, to dot, to mark with dots (the skin). s. m. Marks of tattooing.

گرا garā S̱. s. m. Throat, neck. See گلا galā.

گنجرنا gunjarnā H v. n. To roar, to growl.

گچها guchchhā गुच्छ S̱. adj. Dapper, neat, compact.

گڙهہ gaṛh S̱. (see گڐهہ) s. m. A castle, a fort.

گهاٿ ghāṭ H 1. s. m. Mode, manner, shape. 2. Offence, deficiency, loss, detriment. 3. Want, abatement, reduction. 4. adj. Abated, less.

کهڙيا khaṛyā H adj. (dakh.) Standing: see کهڙا khaṛā.

کناگت kanāgat कन्यागत S̱. s. f. A srāddha, or religious ceremony performed daily by Hin- dūs, during the dark half of the month Āsin, in honour of deceased ancestors, or pitr̤is. Hence that fortnight is called کنا.

گابها gābhā गर्भ S̱. s. m. A new leaf springing from the centre of a plantain tree.

کوڙي koṛī H s. f. A score, twenty. ¶ kauṛī (Sans. कपर्द्द) s. f. 1. A small shell used as coin. (Cypræa moneta). پهوٿي کوڙي phūṭī kauṛī, or کاني کوڙي kānī kauṛī, A bit of money of the low- est value, (fig.) a farthing. 2. Money, fare, hire. کوڙي بوک kauṛī-būk, Venal. 3. A gland. 4. The point of the sternum, or ensiform carti- lage.
