کنارا kinārā P. (or prop. kanāra) s. m. Side, margin, shore, strand, bank (of a river, &c.), beach, border, coast, part, limit, boundary, edge. کنارا پکڙنا kinārā pakaṛ- nā, To retire. کنارا کرنا kinārā karnā, v. a. To abstain, to refrain, to keep aloof, retire or with- draw (from), to lay aside. کناره کش kināra- kash, Withdrawing. کناري kināre or کناري پر kināre par, Aside, ashore. کناري چڙهنا kināre chaṛhnā, v. n. To run ashore, to strand. کناري هوجانا kināre ho-jānā, To retire, to withdraw.

کلکي कल्की kalkī S s. m. The name of the tenth Hindū incarnation, which will happen. The deity will assume the appearance of a Brāhmaṇ, who is to be born in the town of Sambal and in the family of Vishnu Sarmā. He will ride on horseback and put to death all the wicked.

کچڙا kachṛā H s. m. An unripe melon. See کچرا kachrā, sign. 1.

کوتوال kotwāl P s. m. The chief officer of the po- lice for a city or town.

گينت gaint H s. f. A pickaxe.

کچ कुच kuch S s. m. and f. Bosom, breast, pap, bubby. ¶ कच kach, s. m. Hair.

کتابه kitāba A s. m. An epitaph, inscription.

کهنچوانا khinchwānā H (caus. of کهنچنا) v. a. To cause to draw or suffer, &c.

کلنا kilnā H v. n. (dakh.) To groan, moan: see کراهنا karāhnā.

کيڙها kīṛahā S̱. (from कीट) adj. Wormy, worm- eaten. See کيرها kīrahā.
