قلابه ḳulāba A (from فلب To turn) s. m. A sta- ple, hinge, link, hook, hasp.

قرين ḳarīn A adj. Conjoined, contiguous, connected; equal, associate, friend. گردون قرين gar- dūn-ḳarīn, adj. Joined or reaching to the skies. نصرقرين nuṣrat-ḳarīn, adj. Victorious.

قدغن ḳadag̠ẖan P s. f. Injunction, prohibition. قدغن کرنا ḳadag̠ẖan karnā, To enjoin, to prohibit.

قصابه ḳaṣāba A s. m. A handkerchief tied round the head (worn by women, principally).

قوامي ḳiwām-ī A. adj. Sirup-like, sirupy.

قلت ḳillat A (from قلّ Heb. To be light or little) s. f. Littleness, penury, scarcity, want, indigence, paucity, fewness, scantiness.

قالي ḳālī P s. f. A carpet, tapestry. See غالي.

قابو ḳābū T. (from Turk. قاپو ḳāpū or قپو ḳapū, A gate; q. d. by which one may enter or arrive at the object of oneʼs desire) s. m. Power, com- mand, authority, opportunity, possession, will. قابوپانا ḳābū pānā, To get advantage or power (over). قابوپرست ḳābū-parast, adj. Tyranni- cal. قابوپرستي ḳābū-parast-ī, s. f. Tyranny. قابوچلانا ḳābū chalānā, To exercise oneʼs power, to take advantage. قابوچي ḳābū-chī, adj. Despotick, tyrannical.

قلاچ ḳallāch T adj. 1. Shrewd, malicious. 2. Wretched, friendless, cun- ning. 3. Addicted to drinking, a drunkard.

قوانين ḳawānīn A s. m. plur. (of قانون ḳānūn) Rules, ordinances, statutes, &c.
