فالوده fālūda P. (or pālūda) 1. adj. Smooth, clear. 2. s. m. A kind of flummery.

فانوس fānūs P s. f. A shade (to keep the wind from a candle), a lantern, a pharos, lighthouse. فانوس خيال fānūs-i-ḵẖiyāl, or فانوس خيالي fā- nūs-i-ḵẖiyāl-ī, A lantern which revolves by the smoke of the candle within, and has on the sides of it figures of various animals.

فتا fatā A (from فتي To be young: Heb. To be simple, easily seduced or persuaded) s. m. A youth.

فقرا fuḳarā A s. plur. (of فقير) Dervises, &c.

فريدون farīdūn P or firīdūn, n. prop. An ancient king of Persia.

فرمايش farmāʼịsh P (from فرمودن) s. f. An order (particularly for goods, &c.), commission, any thing commissioned, pleasure, will, commands.

فصاد faṣṣād A (adj. superl. of فصد) s. m. A sur- geon, phlebotomist.
