فتيٰ fatạ̄ A s. m. A young man.

فرض farẓ A s. m. f. Divine command, a duty the omission of which is considered as a mortal sin, an obligation. فرض کرنا farẓ karnā, To consider as a positive indispensable duty, to consider as certain or unquestionable, to grant, admit, assume. فرض هونا farẓ honā, To be in- cumbent, to behoove.

Despatches announcing victory. فتح نشان fatḥ- nishān, A victorious standard (opened only in battle). فتح نصيب fatḥ-naṣīb, adj. Victorious, of victorious fortune. فتح ياب fatḥ-yāb, adj. Victorious. فتح کرنا fatḥ karnā, To conquer. فتح هونا fatḥ honā, To be conquered.

فرمان farmān P s. m. 1. A mandate, command, order, edict. 2. A royal patent, grant. فرمان بردار farmān-bardār, adj. Subject to orders, subject, obedient, charged with orders. فرمان برداري farmān-bardār-ī, s. f. Obedience, fealty, subjection. فرمان ده farmān-dih, Giving or- ders, a ruler. فرمان روا farmān-rawā, Whose command passes current, entitled to command, a sovereign, a commander. فرمان روائي farmān- rawā-ī, s. f.
