اپنانا apnā-nā S̱. (see آپ āp) v. a. To make a thing oneʼs own, to convert or appropriate to oneʼs own use.

آناکاتي ānākānī S̱. (अनाकर्णन from अन् and r. आकर्ण Listen to) s. f. Turning a deaf ear, overlooking, winking at, purposely neglecting.

ارس अ and रस Juice, taste a-ras S. adj. Without juice, sapless, tasteless.

اره arra P s. m. A saw. اره کش arra-kash, A sawyer. اره سرپرچلانا arra sir par chalānā, To oppress any one, to commit violence. سرپراري چل گئي تو بهي مدار مدار sir par arre chal gaʼe tau bhī madār madār, He has incurred punish- ment and disgrace, yet he has not reformed his manners.

اتساه उत्साह उत् and r. षह Bear ut-sāh S. s. m. Effort, perseverance, energy, fortitude; happiness, joy.

اپهرانا aphrānā S̱. (caus. of اپهرنا) v. a. To feed a person so that his belly swells; (met.) to give a person (money, &c.) to the utmost extent of his desire.

ازوقه azūḳa A. (corrupt. from ذوق) s. m. Food.

اٿکا aṭkā H 1. s. m. The pot in which victuals are dressed for the publick at the door of the tem- ple of Jagannāth. 2. part. past. (of اٿکنا) Aground, stopped, hindered.

اسجنا usijnā H v. n. To boil.

اذل aẕall A adj. compar. (of ذلیل) More or most vile, base or abject.
