شاما shāmā S̱. s. m. 1. (श्यामा) The little bird generally called Shāma. 2. (श्यामाक) Name of a grain. (Panicum colonum or fru- mentaceum).

شلوار shalwār P (or shilwār) s. m. Trousers.

شيرني shīrnī P. (corrupt. of شيريني) s. f. Sweet- meats, &c. offered in memory of saints, &c.

شاماخ shāmāḵẖ P s. m. See sign. 2. of شاما.

شيدا shaidā P adj. 1. Mad. 2. Deeply in love.

شہادت shahādat A (from شہد Chald. To testify) s. f. 1. Evidence, testimony, witness. 2. Martyrdom.
