شاملات shāmilāt A (plur. of شامل q. v.) The concerns that comprise (all parts); partnership.

شدا shaddā A. (perhaps, from شدّ To run, to charge an enemy; or, corrupt. of شہدا shuhadā, Mar- tyrs) s. m. The banners that are carried with the taﻌziya, in the muḥarram.

شوال shauwāl A s. m. The tenth month of the Muhammadan year; on the first day of which the festival of Bairām, or īﻌd is celebrated, being the first day after the musalmān Lent; and, on this day it is customary to make presents, &c.

شہداپن shuhdā-pan H s. m. Raking, rakishness, debauchery, dissoluteness.

شخ shaḵẖ P s. Any thing hard, hard ground, top of a hill.

شوقيه shauḳiya A s. m. The part of an epistle which follows the complimental address.

شبانروز shabān-roz P adv. Night and day.
