ارهٿ arhaṭ H s. m. An engine for raising water. Same as رهٿ rahaṭ.

اچکري achkarī H s. f. Wantonness, lasciviousness, wickedness.

ابوبکر abū bakr A (lit. father of the virgin) n. prop. The father-in-law and first successour to Muhammad.

انيسون anīsūn G (Gr. a)/nison) s. m. Anise seed. (Pimpinella anisum).

ابهیو abhew S̱. adj. See ابهید a-bhed.

افگندگي afganda-gī P (in compos.) s. f. Throwing, casting.

آچمن आचमन āchaman S s. m. Act of sip- ping a little water from the palm of the hand by way of purification.

اون ūn S̱. (ऊर्णा r. ऊर्णु Cover) s. f. Wool. گاڐرآني اون کون بيٿهي چري کپاس gāḍar ānī ūn koṅ baiṭhī chare kapās, I brought the sheep for wool and she is eating up the cotton. (Spoken of any thing done by way of economy, which turns out very expensive, or by which a loss is incur- red.)

اشرار ashrār A s. plur. (of شریر) Wicked, wretch- ed, criminal, seditious (people).
