شاستري शास्त्री shāstr-ī S adj. Skilled in Hindū law or religious books; one skilled in holy science. شاستري اچهر shāstrī-achchh̤ar (शास्त्रीयाक्षर) The Devanāgarī character.

شمسي shams-ī A adj. Solar. شمسي قمري shams-ī ḳamar-ī, adj. (solar and lunar) 1. A perquisite taken by the officers of government, being the difference between the pay for a lunar and solar month. 2. A monthly period of three or four days, during which the female attendants in the womenʼs apartments have leave of absence.
