ستکهنا satkhanā S̱. (सप्त Seven, and खंड Part) adj. Of seven divisions or stories (a house, &c.). S̱. H. ستلڙا sat-laṛ-ā, adj. Sevenfold, of seven strings or rows (a chain of pearls, &c.). ستلڙي sat- laṛ-ī, s. f. A necklace of seven strings.

سنپولا sampolā S̱. s. m. A young snake. See سپولا and سپوليا.

سوهن sohan H s. f. m. A kind of sweetmeat.

سکهہ sikh S̱. n. prop. Name of a people living in the Panjāb and in the neighbourhood of Lāhaur (Lahore) disciples or followers of Nānak.

سکبينج sikbīnaj G. (Arab. but Pers. سکبينه) s. m. Sagapenum, a kind of gum resin. (Greek sagaphnon Hippoc. and Dioscor.).

سگرا sagrā S̱. or sigrā (समय) adj. All, every, the whole.

سفينه safīna A (Heb. from سفن Heb. To cover, &c.) s. m. 1. A ship, a vessel, boat. 2. A blank book, a commonplace-book.

سرد शरद् sarad S s. f. Name of the fourth of the six seasons. See سرت sarat.

سہاؤ suhāʼū S̱. adj. (dakh.) See سہاون su- hāwan.
