سنپات sanpāt S or सन्निपात sannipāt, s. m. The name of a disease in which the body is seized with universal chilliness, Deliquium. (It is explained by the Hindū physicians to be that, in which the three humours, bile, phlegm, and atrabilis are corrupted).

سنگسار sang-sār P s. m. Stoning to death. سنگسارکرنا sang-sār karnā, To stone to death.

سمبهالنا sambhālnā S̱. (संभारण from सं prep. and r. भृ support) v. a. 1. To support, prop, sustain, hold up, assist, help. 2. To shield, protect, stop, retain, restrain, check, repress.

سنگاريا singār-iyā S̱. (from शृंगार) s. m. One whose business it is to dress an idol.

سيندهنا sendh-nā S̱. (from संधि A breach or mine) v. a. To mine.

سيدنا sednā S̱. (from स्वेद Sweat, steam) v. a. To stupe, to foment.

سو sū P s. f. A side, part, quarter, towards. سوبسو sū-ba-sū, Side by side.

سالم sālim A (part. act. of سلم Heb. To be safe or entire) adj. Safe, free, perfect, sound.

سوباس sū-bās सुवास S̱. s. m. 1. A pleasant dwelling. 2. A pleasant smell, fragrance.
