سوفار sūfār P s. m. and f. The notch of an arrow, the eye of a needle.

سرکانا sarkānā H (caus. of سرکنا saraknā) v. a. To remove, to put on one side, to move out of the way.

ساله sāl-a P (in compos.) A termination affixed to numbers, to denote so many years old; as دوساله do-sāla, Two years old; پنجساله panj- sāla, Five years old; صد ساله ṣad-sāla, Of a hundred years.

سلم salam A (from سلم Heb. To be safe, en- tire or sound) 1. s. m. Peace, safety. 2. Saluting, submitting, cultivating peace, friendship. 3. adj. Free from fault or flaw. ¶ sullam, s. m. A stair. سلمه الله تعاليٰ sallamahu-l-lāhu taʼāﻌlạ̄, May the Almighty protect him.

سوزناک soz-nāk P adj. Burning, ardent.
