سميرو सुमेरु sumeru S s. m. The sacred mountain Meru, allegorically represented as composed of gold and gems, and the residence of the gods: (in astronomical works) the north pole. S. سميل सुमेल (सु Good, well, and मेल from r. मिल Meet, unite) sumel, adj. Suitable, af- fable, of pleasing manners.

سٿانا saṭānā S̱. (caus. of سٿنا saṭnā, q. v.) v. a. To unite, to stick, to make adhere.

سفوف safūf A (from سفّ To take a medicine in a state of powder and dry) s. m. A medicine taken dry and unmixed, a powder (in opposi- tion to an electuary).

To give up, to desist, to refrain, to bid adieu. سلامٌ عليک salāmuṉ aﻌlaika, Peace or safety to thee: سلامٌ عليکم sa- lāmuṉ aﻌlaikum (Heb. ) Peace, &c. to you (forms of salutation). سلام لينا salām lenā, To return the salutation.
