سوتل sūtal सुतल S̱. s. m. A division of the lower regions, the sixth in descent.

سہاگ suhāg सौभाग्य S̱. s. m. 1. Auspiciousness, good fortune. 2. The affection of a hus- band. سہاگ پٿارا يا پڙا suhāg-piṭārā, or -puṛā, s. m. A casket of jewels presented by the bride- groom to his bride. سہاگ لہر suhāg-lahar, s. f. A cool refreshing breeze.

سبها सभा sabhā S s. f. An assembly, meeting, company.

سانوا sāṅwā S̱. (श्यामाक) s. m. The name of a very small grain. (Pa- nicum frumentaceum: Roxb.).

سنگهانا sunghānā S̱. (causal of سونگهنا sūnghnā) v. a. To cause to smell.

سارا sārā S̱. 1. (सर्व) adj. All, the whole. 2. (श्याल) s. m. Wifeʼs brother, brother-in-law.

سوٴي sū-e P (or sū) s. f. Side, path, quarter, to- wards.

ساعي sāʼīﻌ A (part. act. of سعي) 1. s. m. An at- tempter, an endeavourer. 2. A recommender. 3. adj. Earnest, eager, assiduous.
