انگارا angārā S̱. (अंगार) s. m. A firebrand, embers, sparks remaining in ashes. انگارون پر لوٿنا angāroṅ par loṭnā, To be agitated or tormented (particularly from jealousy).

اگهوري aghorī S (अघोरी) adj. (used substantively) An order of religious men- dicants professing اگهورپنتهہ aghor-panth; (they eat every thing, however filthy, even human carcasses; hence) a gross or filthy feeder.

ادهیڙ ad-heṛ S̱. adj. Middle-aged, just past the prime of life. (Applied most frequently to women).

آگوا āgūʼā S̱. (see آکو āgū) s. m. A pommel.

امتداد imtidād A (inf. viii. of مدّ) 1. s. m. Pro- traction, prolongation, extension, prorogation. 2. adj. Protracted.

اچها इच्छा ichchhā S s. f. Wish, desire. اچها بهوجن ichchhā bhojan, Desirable food, or food to the utmost desire.

اسپند ispand P s. m. A seed burnt at marriages to drive away evil spirits: it is, also, burnt as a charm for the like purpose some days after a child is born, particularly at the door; and when a child goes out or comes home. It is often mixed on those occasions with mustard seed, and hence has been confounded with the latter (خردل).

اهالي ahālī A s. plur. (of اهل) People, posses- sors, consorts, inhabitants, citizens.

ات it अत्र S̱. adv. Here, hither.

اما ammā A conj. But, moreover, nevertheless, however, yet.
