ساقي sāḳī A (part. act. of سقي Heb. To ir- rigate) s. m. A cupbearer, a page. (Plur. ساقيان sāḳiyān). ساقيا sāḳiyā, O cupbearer!

ساتهہ sāth सार्थ S̱. 1. adv. With, together, along with. 2. s. m. Society, company. ساتهہ اسکي sāth iske, Along with this; besides, more- over. ساتهہ اسکي sāth us-ke, Along with that; although, notwithstanding. ساتهہ دينا sāth denā, To join, to associate with. ساتهہ والا sāth-wālā, A comrade, companion. ساتهون ساتهہ sāthoṅ sāth, Together with, along with.

ستکهنا satkhanā S̱. (सप्त Seven, and खंड Part) adj. Of seven divisions or stories (a house, &c.). S̱. H. ستلڙا sat-laṛ-ā, adj. Sevenfold, of seven strings or rows (a chain of pearls, &c.). ستلڙي sat- laṛ-ī, s. f. A necklace of seven strings.

سواف suwāf A (from سوف Heb. and Ch. To fail, to cease, to be terminated, to perish) s. m. A mortal disease (especially among cattle), perishing, death.

ستماسا sat-māsā S̱. (from सप्त Seven, and मास Month) s. m. A feast given in the seventh month of pregnancy.

سبق sabaḳ A (from سبق Chald. To precede, to leave behind) s. m. A lesson, lecture, reading.

سونہين soṅhīṅ सम्मुख S̱. adv. Face to face, opposite, before, in front.

سکنده स्कंध skandh S s. m. 1. A branch. 2. A part or division. 3. A shoulder. 4. A mul- titude, part of an army.
