سجهانا sujhānā H (causal of سوجهنا) v. a. To shew, to make understand.

سنانا sunānā S̱. (श्रावण or causal of سنا sunnā) v. a. To cause to hear, to inform, to advise, to tell, to bid, to warn.

سلتا salitā सरित् S̱. s. f. A river: see سرتا.

ساتاروهن sātārohan सप्तारोहण S̱. s. m. A dog who associates with (six) wolves.

سموسه samosa P. (corrupt. for سنبوسه) s. m. 1. A kind of small pastry of minced meat of a triangular form. 2. A shawl, or handkerchief, &c. doubled diagonally to throw over the shoul- ders. سموسه ورقي samosa-waraḳī, A species of the dish named سموسه.

سيلوان शीलवान् sīl-wān S adj. Of good or amiable disposition, benevolent, well-conducted.

سيانا siyānā S̱. or sayānā or syānā (सज्ञान) adj. 1. Cunning, artful, shrewd, sly, knowing, sa- gacious, clever, prudent. 2. Mature (in under- standing), grown up.
