ڐنڐ ḍanḍ दंड S̱. s. m. 1. The arm above the elbow. 2. A kind of exercise, placing the hands on the ground and then bending down so as al- most to touch the earth with the breast. ڐنڐ پيل ḍanḍ-pel, One who exercises himself at the ḍanḍ.

ڐنڐي ḍanḍī दंडी S. s. f. 1. A handle. 2. The beam of a pair of scales. 3. A mendicant who carries a staff in his hand. پگ ڐنڐي pag- ḍanḍī, s. f. A footpath, by-path, track.

ڐبريا ḍibariyā H adj. Left-handed.

ڐٿنا ḍaṭnā H v. n. To stop, to stand still.

ڐهيلا ḍhelā H s. m. A clod of earth, a lump of clay, chalk, &c.

ڐهک ḍahak H s. m. A cavern, abyss, a pitfall.

ڐولا ḍolā दोला S̱. s. m. 1. A kind of sedan. 2. A wife from an inferiour family, married by a person of rank, who gives a present to her parents. She ranks below wives of equal fa- mily, but above concubines. ڐولا دينا ḍolā-denā, To give a daughter to a superiour by way of tribute.

ڐگا ḍaggā H s. m. A lean, long-legged horse, a Rosinante, a garran.

ڐهنيک ḍhanek S̱. s. m. The name of a bird. See دهنيس dhanes.

ڐاٿنا ḍāṭnā H v. a. To snub, check, chide, threat- en, to browbeat. See ڐانٿنا ḍānṭnā.
