دينتا dīn-tā S (दीनता) s. f. Poverty, in- digence; humility.

دره dara P or darra, s. m. A valley (especially between hills through which a stream flows), a pass or way between two mountains.

درس dars A (Heb. ) s. m. Reading, learning to read, a lecture, a lesson. درس دينا dars denā, To teach to read, to instruct. درس لينا dars lenā, To read a lesson. S. درس दर्श (r. दृश See) daras or dars, s. m. 1. Sight, seeing. 2. The conjunction of sun and moon, or day of new moon.

دق daḳḳ A adj. Subtile, minute, thin. تپ دق tap-i-daḳḳ, s. f. A hectick fever.

دهڙلا dhaṛallā H s. m. 1. The sound of hammering, &c. 2. Frightening, alarming, bullying, bravado. 3. A crowd.

دل بادل dal-bādal S̱. (from दल An army, and वारिद A cloud) s. m. 1. A mass of clouds. 2. A large army. 3. A large tent. H. P. دلبند dul-band, s. A turband, or the fine cloth of one. P. H. دلتي du-lattī (دو Two, and لات A kick) s. f. A kick of the two hind legs of a quadruped. دلتي مارنا dulattī mārnā, To wince, to kick with the two hind legs. H. P. دلدا پيش گير daldā-peshgīr, s. m. A skreen or cover in front of a bed.

دکهنا dukhnā दुःखन S̱. v. n. To ache, to pain, to smart.

دوستانه dost-āna P adv. Friendly, amicably.
