دخل daḵẖl A s. m. 1. Entrance, access; possi- bility. 2. Intrusion, interference, disturbance, molestation. 3. Produce, income. دخل پانا daḵẖl pānā, v. a. To have access. دخل کرنا daḵẖl karnā, v. a. To meddle, to intermeddle, to interfere, concern oneʼs self, intrude, to inter- rupt, to take possession, to enter, encroach.

دهگڙ dhaggaṛ H s. m. A paramour. دهگڙباز dhaggaṛ-bāz, s. m. An adultress. قاضي يا بخشي کا دهگڙ ḳāẓī- or baḵẖ- shī-kā dhaggaṛ, Independent of judge or gene- ral (an expression of pride).

دهنا dhunnā S̱. (धुनन r. धु Shake, make trem- ble) v. a. 1. To comb, to card (cotton). 2. To beat (the head). سردهنا sir dhunnā, To beat oneʼs head with vexation, &c.

دگدگاهٿ dagdagāhaṭ H (from دگدگانا) s. f. Splen- dour, sparkling, twinkling (as, of a star).

ده dih P 1. s. m. A village. 2. (in compos. from دادن) part. act. Giving, giver. 3. ¶ dah, adj. Ten. ده چند dah-chand, adj. Tenfold, ten times. ده چندگي dah-chanda-gī, s. f. Tenfold (a word with which they return a salutation). ده در دنيا ستردرآخرت dah dar dunyā sattar dar āḵẖirat, A benediction of faḳīrs, meaning, charity will be returned sevenfold in the next world. (It is probably a corrupt. of Pers. phrase, Dah dar dunyā ṣad dar āḵẖirat, Ten in this world, a hundred in the next). ده دله dah-dil-a, adj. 1. Faithless, inconstant. 2. Brave, bold. ده روزه dah-roz-a, A ten days, a decade. ده مني dah-mann-ī, adj. Holding ten mann. ده يک dah-yak or ده يکي dah-yakī, Tenth part.

دفن dafn A s. m. Burial, hiding, concealing. دفن کرنا dafn karnā, To bury, to hide, to conceal. دفن هونا dafn honā, To be buried. A. H. دفنانا dafnānā (from دفن) v. a. To bury.

دوج dūj S̱. (from द्वितीय) s. f. The second day of a lunar fortnight.
