دهمار dhamār H s. m. 1. Name of a chime or time in musick. 2. The same as دهمال dhammāl.

داروغگي dārog̠ẖa-gī P s. f. The office or duty of داروغه dārog̠ẖa, q. v.

دهوسا دهاسي dhūsā-dhāsī H s. f. Cramming and stuffing.

دسرا dusrā S̱. adj. (dakh.) See دوسرا dūsrā.

دهيلا dhelā H s. m. Same as ادهيلا adhelā, q. v.

داهنا dāhinā S̱. or dāhnā, adj. Right (opposite to left. Sans. दक्षिण South or right; because the earth, the navel of which corresponds to Hindūstān, has its head to the west, its feet to the east, the right side to the south, and the left to the north; or, perhaps, from the position of eastern people in adoration of the sun. In Arab. شمال denotes the north or left: and, this agrees with the manner in which the Roman augurs determined the regions of the heavens, according to Livy, I. 18.).

دگهي dighī दीर्घिका S̱. s. f. A large tank, or reservoir, in form of an oblong square.
