درس dars A (Heb. ) s. m. Reading, learning to read, a lecture, a lesson. درس دينا dars denā, To teach to read, to instruct. درس لينا dars lenā, To read a lesson. S. درس दर्श (r. दृश See) daras or dars, s. m. 1. Sight, seeing. 2. The conjunction of sun and moon, or day of new moon.

دان dān P 1. part. act. (of دانستن) Knowing, understanding (used in compos.); as, قدردان ḳadr-dān, Knowing the value or quality (of persons). نکته دان nukta-dān, Subtile, penetrating. 2. An affix denoting the receptacle, place or stand; as, قلم دان ḳalam-dān, A pen-case. شمع دان shamﻌ-dān, A candlestick.

دهڙلا dhaṛallā H s. m. 1. The sound of hammering, &c. 2. Frightening, alarming, bullying, bravado. 3. A crowd.

درود گري darod-gar-ī P s. f. The business of a carpenter, carpentry.

دهٿاٴيگي dhiṭāʼegī S̱. s. f. (dakh.) See ڐهٿهاٴي ḍhiṭhāʼī.

دکهلانا dikhlānā S̱. (caus. of ديکهنا) v. a. To show, exhibit, denote, direct. دکهلاٴي دينا dikhlāʼī denā, To appear, be apparent, seem.

دکهت दुःखित dukhit S adj. Afflicted.

داڙه dāṛh S̱. s. f. See ڐاڙه ḍāṛh.

دهرتي dhartī S̱. (धरित्री See دهرا) s. f. The earth. دهرتي کا پهول dhartī kā phūl, s. m. A mushroom.
