دلاک dallāk A s. m. A waiter at the baths that rubs, &c. the bodies of those who bathe, a barber.

دهونڐهنا dhūṅḍhnā S̱. v. a. (dakh.) See ڐهونڐهنا ḍhūnḍhnā.

دق daḳḳ A adj. Subtile, minute, thin. تپ دق tap-i-daḳḳ, s. f. A hectick fever.

دهونسيا dhauṅsiyā H s. m. The leader of a hue and cry or posse comitatus.

داراٴي dārāʼī P adj. Of Darius; s. f. (vulg. درياٴي) Red silk-cloth.

دريوزه daryūza P s. m. Beggary, begging. See درويزه darweza.

دستک dastak P s. f. 1. Clapping of the hands, rapping at a door. 2. A pass, passport, summons, citation. 3. Commission. دستک ديني dastak denī, To knock or rap at a door.

در दुर् dur S prep. Bad, evil, ill, hard, un- fortunate, with difficulty (the reverse of सु). درباچيه dur-bāchya (दुर्वाच्य) or دربچن dur- bachan (दुर्वचन) s. m. Abuse. دربل दुर्बल dur-bal, adj. Weak, nerveless, faint. دربلتا दुर्बलता dur-balatā, s. f. Weakness, faintness. درجن दुर्जन dur-jan, s. m. An enemy. دردن दुर्दिन dur-din, Day of adversity. درنام दुनीम dur-nām, s. m. Infamy.

دهنون dahnauṅ दहन S̱. v. n. (in Braj) To burn.
