دين दीन dīn S adj. Poor, needy, indigent; humble. دين ديال दीनदयालु dīn-dayāl, Merciful to the poor, دين بندهو दीनबंधु dīn- bandhu, The friend of the poor, and دينناتهـ दिननाथ dīna-nāth, Lord of the poor, are epithets of the Deity.

دهاري dhārī S̱. (from धारा) s. f. 1. A line, li- neament. 2. A small buttress. دهاري دار dhārī-dār, adj. Lined, striped, streaked. 3. (Sans. धातकी) Name of a plant used in dying. (Lythrum fruticosum: Linn. Grislea tomentosa: Roxb. Pl. Cor.). 4. (from धृ Hold, bear) used in compos. Bearing, holding, having, wearing.

دوبهک dūbhak दुर्भिक्ष S̱. s. f. A scarcity, a famine. See دربهچهـ dur-bhichh̤.

دهنڐلاٿ dhaṅḍlāṭ H s. (dakh.) Coming and going without profit, assiduity.

دهينگ dhīng H s. m. A paramour, gallant.

درود گري darod-gar-ī P s. f. The business of a carpenter, carpentry.

دکهاؤ dikhāʼū S̱. (from دکهانا) adj. Comely.

دوساد dosād H or dusād, s. m. A low cast, whose business it is to remove carcases, and to be executioners.
