دياڙا deʼāṛā H s. m. A white ant-hill.

دهينگڙا dhīngṛā H s. m. A paramour.

دکپال दिक् Region, and पाल Preserver dikpāl S. s. m. A guardian deity of one of the ten (दिश् dis) regions or points (of the com- pass: i. e. ब्रह्मा Brahmā, for upwards; अनंत Ananta, for downwards; इन्द्र Indra, for east; अग्नि Agni, for southeast; यम Yama, for south; नैर्ऋत Nairr̤ita, for southwest; वरुण Varuṇa, for west; वायु Vāyu or पवन Pa- vana, for northwest; कुवेर Kuvera, for north; ईशान Īsāna or शिव Siva, for northeast).

دندانه dandāna P s. m. The tooth of a saw, &c. S. دندبهي दुंदुभी (or दुंदुभि) dundubhī, s. f. A large kettledrum.

ديوانه dīwana P adj. Mad, insane, inspired.

دريودهن दुर्योधन duryodhan S s. m. The elder of the Kuru princes, and leader in the war against his cousins the Pāṇḍavs and Kr̤ish̤ṇa, which was the subject of the Mahābhārat.
