انداز andāz P 1. s. m. Measure, measurement, weighing, valuation, conjecture, guess; time in musick; propriety, symmetry, elegance, mode, manner. 2. (in compos.) part. act. (of انداختن) Throwing, thrower, caster, shooter; as, برق انداز (lightning-thrower) A matchlock- man. انداز کرنا andāz karnā, To estimate, conjecture.

آکاس پون ākās-pawan S̱. (Sans. आकाशवल्ली or अमरवल्ली, in Hindī आकाशबेल or अमरबेल) s. m. A plant growing on trees, air-plant or dodder. (Cuscuta reflexa). Hunter.

آکاس आकाश ākās S (or akās), s. m. The fifth element, ether; the sky, the atmosphere, the heavens, the firmament, space. (This element is held by the Hindūs to be more subtle than air, to fill and pervade the universe, and to be the peculiar vehicle of life and sound). آکاس باني ākās-bānī (आकाश The sky, and वाणी Sound) s. f. A voice from heaven; revelation, an oracle.
