حجر ḥajar A s. m. A stone. (Plur. احجار aḥjār). حجرتان ḥajratān, Gold and silver. حجرالاسود ḥa- jaru-l-aswad, s. m. The black stone in the tem- ple of Mecca. حجراليـﮩود ḥajaru-l-yahūd, s. m. حميده ḥamīda A f. (from حمد) adj. 1. Praised. 2. Laudable, glorious. اخلاق حميده aḵẖlāḳ-i-ḥamīda, Laudable quali- ties or manners. اوصاف حميده auṣāf-i-ḥamīda, Laudable qualifications.

حديقه ḥadīḳa A s. m. A garden.

حکمتي ḥikmat-ī A. adj. Clever, artful, of wis- dom, philosophical.

حبل ḥabl A (Heb. ) s. m. 1. Rope, cord. 2. A league, alliance, compact. حبل الوريد ḥablu-l-warīd, Jugular vein.

حرصي ḥirṣ-ī A adj. Greedy, covetous, ambitious.

حرفه ḥirfa A s. m. 1. Trade, art, profession, craft. 2. Skill, inge- nuity, cleverness, cunning. 3. (dakh.) See مکر makr.

حديد ḥadīd A (from حدّ Heb. Was sharp or it sharpened) s. m. Iron.

حله ḥulla A s. m. A robe, a garment.

حرس ḥirs A s. m. Same as حراست q. v.
