چهات chhāt छत्र S̱. s. f. Roof.

چهنکاهٿ chhankāhaṭ H (from چهنکانا) s. f. Con- centration, causing to strain.

چنگنا chinagnā H v. n. 1. To throb, to shoot (as, a bile, &c.). 2. To cry, to screech. ¶ chung- nā, v. a. (dakh.) To suck.

چهيم क्षेम chh̤em S s. f. Welfare. چهيم کشل क्षेमकुशल chh̤em-kushal, s. f. Welfare.

چهيجنا chhījnā H v. n. To decrease, to pine away. ديکها ديکهي کيجي جوگ چهيجي کايا باڙهي روگ dekhā dekhī kīje jog, chhīje kāyā bāṛhe rog, They who merely imitate others in austerity, waste away, and their diseases in- crease.

چتانا chitānā S̱. (caus. of چيتنا chetnā for चेतन) v. a. To caution, warn, apprize, inform, advise, suggest, remind, intimate, alarm.

چٿکنا chaṭaknā H v. n. 1. To crackle (as wood on the fire), to crack (as, a whip). 2. To split.

چتردس चतुर्दश chaturdas S adj. Fourteenth.

چودانيا chaudāniyā S̱. P. s. m. (چو Four, and دانه Grain) An ornament (formed of four pearls) worn in the ear.
