چوکڙ chokaṛ H s. m. Husk of wheat, bran. ¶ chaukaṛ, adj. Good, well, fine, excellent.

چڙهانا chaṛhānā H (trans. of چڙهنا chaṛhnā) v. a. 1. To make ascend, embark, &c. 2. To offer up oblations or sacrifice. 3. To string (a bow), to brace (a drum). 4. To raise, lift, take up, advance, apply, put, spread, bend, die (with colour), pull, draw on, cock, fix (a bayonet), run.

چهلچهلانا chhalchhalānā H v. a. To murmur.

چهيلا chhailā H s. m. A fop, a beau. چهيل پن chhail-pan, s. m. Spruceness. H. S̱. چهيلچکنيا chhail-chikniyā, s. m. A coxcomb, a fop.

چل مردان chil-mardān P s. m. The leather fixed to the vacant part of the tree of a saddle.

چدانا chudānā H (trans. of چدنا chudnā) v. a. Viri amplexibus se submittere (mulier).

چونڐا chonḍā S̱. (चूडा Crest, &c.) s. m. 1. The head. 2. Hair braided on the top of the head.

چوچي chūchī चूचुक S̱. s. f. Breast, pap, nip- ple, teat, dug. See چونچي chūnchī.

چڙهنا chaṛhnā H v. n. 1. To ascend, mount, ad- vance, attack, embark, board, rise, climb, soar, spread, swell, ride. 2. To be strung (a bow), to be braced (a drum). 3. To be offered up (an oblation or sacrifice). چڙهنا اترنا chaṛhnā utarnā, v. n. 1. To hire and dismiss. 2. Congressus.

چتهاڙنا chithāṛnā H v. a. 1. To tear to pieces. 2. To fill a paper with writing. 3. To abuse, revile, treat with indignity. S̱. H. چتـﮩٿ chit-haṭ, s. f. Reluctance, repugnance.
