چروانا charwānā S̱. v. a. See چرانا charānā.

چت chit H 1. s. Look, glance, sense. 2. adj. Supine, lying flat on the back. چت کرنا chit karnā, To throw (oneʼs adversary) on his back (a term in wrestling), to discomfit, to overcome in battle.

Walk, ramble. 2. A custom, at the funerals of Musalmāns, of stepping back forty paces from the grave and again advancing to it before reading the service over.
