چهنوانا chinwānā H (causal of چهينا chhīnnā) v. a. To cause to snatch. ¶ chhanwānā (caus. of چهاننا) v. a. To cause to sift or strain.

چٿان chaṭān H or chaṭṭān, s. f. Rocky ground, block of stone, rock.

چرچنا charchnā चर्चन S̱. v. a. To consider, to reflect, to apprehend, to conceive.

چهجا chhajjā H s. m. 1. Gallery. 2. The ex- panded branches of a tree.

چکوي chakwī चक्रवाकी S̱. s. f. The female of the چکوا chakwā, ruddy goose (Anas casarca).

چهڙيلا chhaṛīlā H s. f. A kind of fragrant moss.

چوٿي choṭī चूडा S̱. s. f. 1. A lock of hair left on the top of the head, the hair braided behind, a cue. 2. Top, summit. چوٿي کا هونا choṭī kā honā, To excel, to be pre-eminent or unrivalled. See چونٿي chonṭī.

چتربهجي चतुर्भुजी chatur-bhuj-ī S adj. f. Having four arms, an epithet of Devī.

چيت chait चैत्र S̱. s. m. The Hindū name of the twelfth month, the full moon of which is near चित्रा chitrā; March-April.

چپٿي chapṭī H s. f. Congressus mulierum. چپٿي لڙنا يا کهيلنا chapṭī-laṛnā or -khelnā, v. n. Libi- dini sapphicæ indulgere.
