چمپئي champaʼī S̱. adj. Of the colour of چنپا champā.

چٿيا chuṭiyā H 1. s. m. A spy to thieves, the head of a gang of thieves. 2 (चूडा) s. f. A lock of hair left on the head when the rest is shaved.

چکن chikkan S (चिक्कण) adj. 1. Clean, po- lished, smooth. 2. Beautiful (persons). 3. Greasy, oily, fat (as meat), glossy, sleek, slip- pery. 4. Incontinent, lewd, wanton. چکنا باسن يا گهڙا بنا chiknā-bāsan or -ghaṛā bannā, To be incontinent, incorrigible, deaf to admonition. چکنا چاندا chiknā-chāndā (चिक्कणचंद्र) adj. Beautiful. چکني جورو chiknī jorū, s. f. A slip- pery wife. چکني سپاري chiknī supārī, s. f. A kind of betel-nut prepared by boiling. چکني صورت chiknī ṣūrat, Prosperous, affluent, flourishing. چکني مٿي chiknī-miṭṭī (चिक्कणमृत्तिका) s. f. Clay.

چوچي chūchī चूचुक S̱. s. f. Breast, pap, nip- ple, teat, dug. See چونچي chūnchī.

چند chand P adj. How many? how much? how often? some, a few: (in compos. quantity, as much, many). چنددرچند chand dar chand, adj. Several, various. چند روزه chand-roza, adj. Of a few days, ephemeral. هرچند har- chand or هرچندکه har-chand-ki, adv. Although, nevertheless, notwithstanding, however, with all that, so much the more.
