چوک chauk H s. m. 1. A market. 2. A square of a city. 3. A court-yard. 4. A square place filled, at marriages and on other occasions of rejoicing, with sweetmeats, which after certain ceremonies are distributed. چوک بهرنا يا پورنا chauk-bharnā or -pūrnā, To fill a chauk or square with coloured meal, perfumes, sweet- meats, &c. on some occasion of rejoicing. چوک پٿا chauk-paṭṭā, A seat on which the people sit and eat in the chaukā.

چماغ chumāg̠ẖ P. s. m. An iron mace, a wooden mace or club with a knob at the end or headed with iron.

چهڙکنا chhiṛaknā H v. a. To sprinkle. چهڙک کربيچنا chhiṛak-kar bechnā, 1. To sprinkle water on stale or faded vegetables or fruits to make them appear fresh. 2. To puff off goods.

چکرها chakarihā P. (from چاکر) s. m. A good servant, a person fit for (in want of) service, one habituated to service.

چکونڙ chakoṅṛ S̱. or chakwaṅṛ, (चक्रमर्दक) s. m. A species of cassia (Cassia tora) esteemed a remedy for ringworms.

چربانا charbānā H v. a. To brace a drum.
