چهنکاهٿ chhankāhaṭ H (from چهنکانا) s. f. Con- centration, causing to strain.

چهندي chhandī छन्न S̱. adj. Deceitful.

چهبيلا chhab-īlā S̱. (from छवि) adj. Handsome, comely, graceful.

چسنا chasnā H v. n. To burst, or split (as, tight cloth).

چودوان chaudawāṅ S̱. adj. Fourteenth: see چودهان chaudah-āṅ.

چابنا chābnā चर्वण S̱. v. a. To chew, to mas- ticate, to gnaw. چاب چاب باتين کرني chāb chāb bāteṅ karnī, To mince oneʼs words, to speak little and haughtily. ¶ (dakh.) See چبهانا.

چونکنا chaunknā H v. n. To start, to boggle, to start up from sleep. چونک اٿهنا chaunk uṭhnā, To start, to wince. چونک پڙنا chaunk paṛnā, To bounce, to start up.

چچيرا chacherā H adj. Descended from or re- lated through a paternal uncle; as, چچيرا بهاٴي chacherā bhāʼī, s. m. A cousin, son of paternal uncle. چچيري بـﮩن chacherī bahin, Daughter of paternal uncle, a female cousin.

چن chan H s. m. A kind of sugar-cane.

چت चित्त chit S or chitt, s. m. Mind, life, soul, heart, memory. چت چاي chit-chāʼe, Pleasing to the mind, satisfactory, what the heart desires. چت چور (चित्तचोर) chit-chor, Heart-stealer, heart-stealing, or -alluring. چت دينا chit-denā, To pay attention. چت کرنا chit kar- nā, To make up oneʼs mind. چت لانا chit lānā, v. n. To be attentive, to be attached, to apply to. چت لگن (चित्तलग्न) chit-lagan, adj. Amusing, pleasant.
