چهانٿ chhānṭ H (from چهانٿنا) s. f. 1. Refuse. 2. Parings, &c. selection, fashion of clothes. چهانٿ کرنا chhānṭ karnā, To vomit, to disgorge. چهانٿ لينا chhānṭ lenā, To elect, choose. چهانٿ چهٿاو chhānṭ-chhaṭāʼo, s. m. Retrench- ment.

چهٿهي chhaṭhī षष्ठी S̱. 1. adj. f. Sixth; sixth lunar day. 2. s. f. A religious ceremony per- formed on the sixth day after childbirth. چهٿهي کا دودهـ ياد دلانا chhaṭhī kā dūdh yād dilānā, To correct.

چه cha P a particle affixed to various Persian nouns to form diminutives; as کوچه kūcha, A little street, from کو kū: and, sometimes ي is prefixed to it; as باغيچه bāg̠ẖīcha or باغچه bāg̠ẖ- cha, A little garden, from باغ bāg̠ẖ.

چهـﮩ‍اوٿ chhuhāwaṭ H s. f. Touch.

چهڙي chhaṛī H s. f. A switch, wand, rod, cane. 2. A procession of the followers of شاه مدار shāh madār.

چهنکاهٿ chhankāhaṭ H (from چهنکانا) s. f. Con- centration, causing to strain.

چهڙکانا chhiṛkānā H v. a. To cause to sprinkle.

چهبيس chhabbīs षड्विंशति S̱. adj. Twenty six.

چهاچ chhāch H s. m. See چهاج chhāj.

چکاٴي chukāʼī S̱. s. f. See چکوتا chukautā. چکاٴي دينا chukāʼī denā, To escape oneʼs no- tice, to give one the slip.
