چهانا chhānā छादन S̱. v. a. To thatch, to shade, to cover, to roof, to spread. چها جانا chhā jānā, To spread, to lie. چها لينا chhā lenā, To cloud, overspread, to overcast, darken.

چه chi P pron. 1. interrog. What? 2. Which, what; as, because, whether, or. (When pre- fixed to another word, the ه is dropped; as, چگونه chi-gūna, In what manner? how? And, it may be affixed to various Persian words; so, هرچه har-chi, Whatever; اگرچه agar-chi, Although; انچه ān-chi, That which).

چهڙا chhaṛā H s. m. An ornament made of pearls worn in the ear.

چلاهٿ chillāhaṭ H s. f. Cry, outcry, scream.

چسکي chuski S̱. s. f. A mouthful of drink.

چانپ chāmp H s. f. 1. The lock of a gun. 2. The stocks, the rack. چانپ چڙهانا chāmp chaṛhānā, 1. To cock a gun. 2. To punish or torment by squeezing the ear with the lock of a gun.

چرن चरण charaṇ S s. m. 1. The foot. 2. The feet of a verse. 3. Shoes. 4. See چلن chalan. چرنامرت चरणामृत charaṇāmr̤ita, Water in which an idolʼs or a Brāhmaṇʼs feet have been washed. چرنامرت لينا charaṇāmr̤it lenā, To wash the feet of a guest. چرنودک चरणदोक charaṇodak, See چرنامرت चरणामृत above.

چسي chassī H s. f. A species of itch peculiar to the palms of the hands and soles of the feet, said to be occasioned by insects.
