چڙنا chiṛnā H v. n. To be vexed, to vex, to be irritated, to fret, to be provoked. ¶ chaṛnā, v. n. (dakh.) See چڙهنا chaṛhnā.

چويا choyā H s. m. 1. Husk of grain, the scale of a fish. 2. A hole dug in the sandy bed of a river which has dried up, in which water is found.

چهيڙ chheṛ H (from چهيڙنا) s. f. Irritating, irrita- tion, vexing, &c. See the verb. چهيڙچهاڙ chheṛ chhāṛ or چهيڙکهاني chheṛ khānī, s. f. 1. Stric- ture, animadversion. 2. The act of vexing, provoking, exciting, &c.

چراغپا chirāg̠ẖ-pā P adj. Rearing (a horse).

چمکنا chamaknā H v. n. 1. To glitter, shine, flash, glare, startle. 2. To prosper. 3. To be angry.

چمن chaman P s. m. A bed in a garden, a parterre. چمن بند chaman-band, s. m. A gardener. چمن بندي کرنا chaman-bandī karnā, To lay out a garden. چمن دهر chaman-i-dahr, Terrestrial abode. چمن زار chaman-zār, Mea- dow.

چرت churt H or chart, s. f. Nap, drowsiness, nodding.

چهچهلاٴي chhichhlā-ī H s. f. Shallowness.
