چهلڙ chhillaṛ H s. m. The husk of chanā, q. v.

چنبار chambār S̱. s. m. (dakh.) 1. A shoemaker, &c. see چمار chamār. 2. See جلاد jallād.

چرچنا charchnā चर्चन S̱. v. a. To consider, to reflect, to apprehend, to conceive.

چهوکري chhokrī H s. f. A girl, a lass.

چهٿهـ chhaṭh षष्ठी S̱. s. f. The sixth day of a lunar fortnight.

چچيرا chacherā H adj. Descended from or re- lated through a paternal uncle; as, چچيرا بهاٴي chacherā bhāʼī, s. m. A cousin, son of paternal uncle. چچيري بـﮩن chacherī bahin, Daughter of paternal uncle, a female cousin.

چيت chait चैत्र S̱. s. m. The Hindū name of the twelfth month, the full moon of which is near चित्रा chitrā; March-April.

چکتا chakattā T. s. m. See چغتا chag̠ẖattā.

چٿکي chuṭkī H s. f. 1. A pinch. 2. Snapping of the fingers. 3. The hammer of a gun. 4. A mode of printing cloth or gulbadan. 5. Name of an ornament worn on the toes. چٿکي بهرنا يا لينا chuṭkī-bharnā or -lenā, 1. To nip, to pinch. 2. To throw out provoking insinuations. چٿکيون مين اڙانا chuṭkiyoṅ meṅ uṛānā, To put one off with a joke.

چوتهي chauthī चतुर्थी S̱. s. f. 1. The fourth day. 2. A ceremony performed on the fourth day after marriage.
